Choose between faux suede and rubber soles. Faux suede soles are extremely soft to the touch. Rubber soles are waterproof and provide extra grip. Both provide great flexibility and are machine washable. Rubber is a high quality neoprene material. It is vegan and made in the USA. I recommend faux suede for babies who are not mobile yet, and rubber for crawlers and walkers.
To increase shoe durability add a toe guard. Toe guards protect the area of the shoe which wears first from walking or dragging the shoe across the floor when crawling.
